When you register an account, purchase hosting, or book a domain name on SoftHostier, we collect:
- Account Details: Full Name, Email Address, Mobile Number, and Password hash.
- ICANN Registrant Information: Physical mailing address, organization name, and country required for domain registry verification.
- Billing Details: GSTIN number, billing address, and transaction identifiers generated via our payment gateway partners. (We do not store credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs on our servers).
2. How We Use Your Data
Your personal and technical information is used exclusively to:
- Provision and manage domain registrations with upstream registrars and registries.
- Configure cloud hosting folders, isolated database instances, and DNS records.
- Process transactions via RBI-authorized payment aggregators (Cashfree).
- Send critical service notifications including SSL expiration, invoice generation, and domain renewal reminders.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is shared strictly with authorized infrastructure partners necessary to deliver services:
- Upstream Domain Registrars & Registries: For fulfilling mandatory ICANN WHOIS database obligations.
- Payment Aggregators (Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd.): For processing secure UPI, Net Banking, and Card checkouts.
- Legal & Regulatory Authorities: When required by lawful court orders or cybersecurity investigations under Indian law.
4. WHOIS Privacy & Data Protection
SoftHostier enables WHOIS privacy protection on eligible top-level domains free of charge. This masks your private contact numbers, personal mailing addresses, and email from public web scrapers and spam databases.
5. Data Retention & Security
All communication with SoftHostier is encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3). Passwords are encrypted using irreversible cryptographic hashing algorithms. You may request account closure or data erasure by contacting our grievance officer.
